Let's Drive Away Hunger! — Donate to Stuff the Bus tomorrow! This Saturday, November 15,our dedicated PSD bus drivers are once again hosting the heartwarming community tradition “Stuff the Bus.” From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., two school buses will be stationed to collect donations at: Fred Meyer — 5502 Point Fosdick Dr, Gig Harbor, 98335 Target — 11400 51st Ave NW, Gig Harbor, 98332 Started in 2007 by bus driver Shari Pace to lift spirits and bring neighbors together, Stuff the Bus continues to support three vital local organizations: Fish Food Bank of Gig Harbor, Bischoff Food Bank of Key Peninsula, and Key Peninsula Community Services. Last year, generous community members filled two buses with food and toiletries — let’s aim to match or exceed that success this year. You can help by donating: Non-perishable food items (canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal) Toiletries (toothpaste, shampoo, soap, feminine hygiene products) Monetary donations (which allow food banks to purchase what’s most needed) “Our dedicated bus drivers continue to serve our community beyond just transporting students,” said Dawnett Wright, Director of Transportation. “We're excited to help our community drive hunger away with this annual tradition that has helped so many local families over the years.” Please consider stopping by one of the locations this Saturday to drop off items.
