Dear HRMS Families,

Thank you to all the students, families, and staff who have welcomed us into the new school year. I am so proud to be starting my second year as your principal. We are also thrilled to welcome our new assistant principal, Mr. Syd, who is incredibly excited to be part of the Falcon family.

Meeting so many of you at our recent orientation events has been a highlight. The energy and eagerness for learning are truly inspiring.
This newsletter contains important information to help everyone get off to a smooth start. Please join us for our Open House on Thursday, August 27, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. We will meet in the gym first for a quick presentation, and then you are encouraged to walk around the building with your student.

The first day of school is Wednesday, September 2, and it is not a late start. School begins at 8:15 AM and doors will open at 7:45 AM. Staff and student leaders will be ready to help anyone who is finding their way around the building or adjusting to new classes.

Please remind your student to check their schedule on the portal a few more times before school starts, and then one final time on Tuesday evening before the first day of school. Our counselors have worked tirelessly to prepare these schedules. While not every student was able to receive all of their preferred classes due to district requirements and resources, we are confident every schedule reflects a meaningful middle school experience.

As I watch my own daughter continue her journey through school, I know the mix of emotions families are feeling. It can be bittersweet to watch our children step into new responsibilities, but these moments are filled with growth and opportunities to see them thrive.

We are so glad to begin this journey together. Enjoy the rest of your summer and we look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday.

Go Falcons!

A Few Updates

We are finalizing our bell and lunch schedule.
We will be officially moving to two lunches. Both documents will be sent to families next week, and we will have hard copies available at Open House.

We are also happy to announce that lunch will be tech free this year! All four middle schools have collaborated on this decision, and we believe it will create a wonderful opportunity for students to socialize, recharge, and stay active during their break.
